Backcountry First Aid Clinic

Join us on Thursday, April 9 at 6:30pm for a hands-on, confidence-building first aid clinic designed for outdoor enthusiasts in every season. Whether you hike, climb, ski, trail run, or simply love spending time outside, this session will give you practical skills you can use on your next adventure. Hosted by Lone Pine Gear Exchange and sponsored by SheJumps and Backcountry Ready, Outdoor Education, this event brings together community and high-quality backcountry safety education in an approachable, supportive environment.

We’ll cover common backcountry injuries—what they look like, how to assess them, and effective ways to treat them in the field. We’ll also discuss what’s worth carrying in your pack so you’re prepared for the unexpected, no matter the season.

You’ll learn how to recognize and manage environmental illnesses, from heat-related conditions to cold-weather injuries, including prevention and early intervention strategies. Finally, we’ll talk about decision-making in the field and when and how to call for rescue—so you feel confident activating help if a situation escalates.

This clinic is beginner-friendly, interactive, and geared toward helping you feel more prepared, capable, and resilient outside. Come ready to learn, ask questions, and build your outdoor safety toolkit with the community.

Your ticket includes a refreshment and invaluable first aid knowledge, with the rest of proceeds being donated to SheJumps!
